Train project
Design Brief
Design, model and fabricate a train car that can hook on the engine car that was
displayed in class. The major components of the car must be cut using the Shopbot
CNC machine.
Note: This is not the final design and the colors are just a test and visual view.It was done by using mating and joints.
This is the window of the ambulance.It was done by using an arc and extrusion
This peice is used for the bottom front and 2nd top (where the car windows are).It was done by creating a rectangle shape and extrusion.
This is the wheel. It's used to move around. In order to make this I made a circle and extruded it .5 in. Then I made a little circle in the middle and extuded it and cut it.
This piece is the sides of the ambulance which connect the wheels/etc. In order to do this, I use extrusion and dimensions. There also another piece similar to this but its backward.
This is at the bottom front of the ambulance.It used to connect other designs.It was done by using a arc and extrusion.
This piece is the base of the ambulance. It was created by making a rectangle shape and extruded it.
This the back door of the ambulance or the back.It was done by extruding and dimensioning it.
This is the siren of the ambulance. It's the smallest piece which is at the top. It was done by extruding it and dimensioning.
This is the roof of the bumber ambulance. It was done by extursion and dimensions.

This is the bottom bumper which connects the arc.It was done by dimensioning and exturding it.
The train project was a weird and fun project. The inventor did work but the main problem was the pieces. Some of the pieces were uneven and unmatch. Coloring was hard but doable it took time if you didn't have the materials for it. The project would've taken a few days but some errors happen and lack of color materials. But after all the train project was still a challenge and fun project.
